Best pizza night yet

Pizza night! Again!  And the little guys above were one of the stars of the show.

It all began with a visit to the always wonderful Wilson's Farm in Lexington for some delicious ingredients like fresh buffalo mozzarella, pizza sausage, and veggies.  Though things got a little rocky when my usual pizza dough recipe seemed like it wasn't really rising.  But I didn't have any other options, so I used the dough anyway and was relieved to see it baking up like usual.

Pizza #1
Tomato sauce, italian sausage, hot cherry peppers and grated buffalo mozzarella.

Pizza #2
Herbed olive oil, thinly sliced sweet potatoes, crispy pan-fried red onions, toasted walnuts, Bulgarian goat's milk feta (thanks to my Mom who packed a huge block of it in her suitcase and flew it in from Chicago last weekend!) and toasted walnuts.

I'm not even going to pretend like I ate responsibly.  It's a wonder there's any left over at all!

  1. ok, pizza #2 i HAVE to try. potatoes and walnuts? YES PLEASE!

  2. yes, you must! i was really surprised by how much i liked it.

the feta was very tasty. next time i might try it with a bleu cheese.

Thanks for visiting. I love hearing from each and everyone of you :)
